What is Tonsillitis
Tonsillitis simply means inflammation of the tonsils.
When the tonsils get infected, they become red, swollen, and sometimes develop a yellow, grey, or white coating on their surface.
Causes of Tonsillitis
In most cases, bacterial infection is the main cause of tonsillitis, though viral infections can also lead to it.
The infection may spread through contaminated food or water, or through droplet infections such as coughing or mucus secretions from an infected person.
People with a weak immune system are more likely to suffer from tonsillitis.
It can also be triggered by allergies like pollen, cold weather, cold food, preservatives, and other irritants.
Symptoms of Tonsillitis
The symptoms of tonsillitis can vary from mild to severe, depending on the extent of infection.
Common signs include:
- Sore throat, there is persistent pain and irritation in the throat.
- Dysphagia, there is difficulty in swallowing water or food.
- Fever is often accompanied by chills.
- Excessive salivation in the mouth.
- Bad breath is due to infection in the throat.
- Earache, if the infection spreads from the tonsils to the ear.
- Sinusitis and headache, if the infection reaches the sinuses.
- Difficulty in breathing, when the tonsils become excessively enlarged.
- Swollen lymph nodes, often felt as tenderness or lumps around the neck.
Allopathy Treatment
When a patient with tonsillitis consults an allopathic doctor, they are usually prescribed antibiotics, painkillers, and antiallergic medicines. These medicines provide temporary relief, and the patient feels better for some time.
However, in many cases, tonsillitis keeps recurring, forcing patients to take these strong medicines repeatedly. Since these drugs can have long-term side effects, doctors often advise surgical removal of the tonsils.
In my clinical practice, which I have been doing since 1997, I have observed that once the tonsils are removed, infections can easily travel to the lower respiratory tract. As a result, patients often begin to suffer from bronchitis, asthma, and pneumonia-like diseases.
Remember that God has not given tonsils without reason.
Tonsils play a vital role in monitoring the quality of air, food, and water entering the body.
They trap infections and prevent them from spreading inward to more important organs.
In fact, tonsils are a key part of the body’s defense mechanism.
They produce white blood cells (WBCs), which help in building and maintaining immunity.
So, instead of removing the body’s soldiers, we should treat and strengthen them. This is exactly what I do with homeopathy.
Homeopathy Treatment
Now let’s discuss how homeopathy treatment can help you by saving you from strong allopathic medicines and surgery, and that too without any side effects.
Homeopathy works by increasing the body’s immunity and correcting allergic tendencies.
Gradually, the patient’s symptoms such as sore throat, fever, painful swallowing, offensive mouth odor, and enlarged lymph nodes begin to reduce in both frequency and severity, until the patient recovers completely.
I regularly consult patients suffering from tonsillitis in my practice, and based on my experience, only classical constitutional homeopathy treatment works effectively in such cases.
Ready-made patent medicines do not help with tonsillitis. In fact, over-the-counter homeopathic medicines may even cause side effects if taken without proper guidance.
From my clinical observation, it usually takes around 8 to 10 months to completely cure chronic or recurrent tonsillitis through individualized homeopathic treatment.
Most importantly, homeopathy is safe, natural, gentle, and free from side effects.
Number of Medicines
In homeopathy, there are around 296 medicines that can be used for treating tonsillitis.
However, deciding which medicine to prescribe, in what potency, and how many times a day is a highly specialized and complex process that only a qualified and experienced homeopathic doctor can handle.
A sensible doctor never prescribes simply based on the name of the disease, tonsillitis. Instead, he takes a complete history of a case, carefully studies all the symptoms, and then selects the most suitable medicine while keeping in mind the susceptibility and overall constitution of the patient.
As I always say — “Homeopathy is not readymade; it is tailormade.”
While treating tonsillitis, I generally prescribe medicine for one month, after which I review the patient’s condition.
Each month, the case is studied again, allowing me to fine-tune the medicines and their potencies for the best results.
Ultimately, the success of your tonsillitis treatment largely depends on your choice of doctor.
These days, we all know about KYC (Know Your Customer) in banks — I believe patients should also practice KYD — Know Your Doctor.
Name of Medicines
Friends, in this blog, I have not named any medicines, nor have I promoted any company’s products because doing so would mean playing with your health, which could cause harm.
A responsible and sensible doctor will never do that.
