What is Molluscum Contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum is caused by a virus known as poxvirus.

In molluscum pearly white eruptions occur anywhere on the skin. These eruptions can pain or itch.

This virus spreads through touch, direct skin to skin contact and indirectly through door handles, toys, swimming pool, spa, beauty parlor and so on. When patient scratches on them due to itching then virus spreads to the adjacent skin.

Molluscum patients should get the HIV test done because roughly 20% of HIV patients suffer from molluscum contagiosum.

Allopathic Treatment

When a molluscum patient consults a skin specialist, he prescribes retinoic acid or benzoyl peroxide for external application.

If this prescription does not help then doctor advises surgical removal like scrapping, freezing (cryotherapy), needle electrosurgery, curettage.

The patient feels better with this treatment; but I have seen in my clinical practice that molluscum reoccurs and that also more severe than before.

Apart from this allopathic treatment has side effects like skin irritation, skin infection, skin scarring.

Homeopathic Treatment

According to my clinical experience homeopathy has amazing and permanent treatment for molluscum contagiosum.

Our medicines correct the weakness of the immune system by creating such an environment where molluscum virus cannot exist and patient gets complete relief from molluscum.

The most important thing is after homeopathic treatment molluscum never reoccurs.

It takes about 4 to 8 months to completely cure molluscum.

Number of Medicines

There are around 19 medicines in homeopathy for molluscum contagiosum which are amazingly effective.

Now which of these medicines are to be given, in how much potency, how many times in a day – this is a complicated process which only a highly qualified and experienced doctor can do.

A sensible doctor never prescribes on the name of the disease molluscum contagiosum. He takes complete history of the patient, then studies his symptoms properly.

After this, he selects the medicines keeping in mind the susceptibility of the patient and decides upon the potency and repetition of medicines.

While treating molluscum contagiosum I prescribe for one month and then review the patient after that. Every month the case is studied again thereby finetuning the medicines and their potencies.

Nothing is fixed in homeopathic treatment; remedies change according to the condition of the patient.

Name of Medicines?

Friends, in this blog I have not named any medicines, nor I have promoted medicines of any company; because by doing so I will be playing with your health and may harm you. A sane doctor will never do this.
